Graham Potter caught Chelsea fans off guard with a surprise X-rated comment while talking about the Champions League during a club event.

The Blues will find out today who they will play in the quarter-finals of the competition, following their 2-1 aggregate victory over Borussia Dortmund in the last round.

Despite spending around £600m in new signings this season, the Blues are not seen as one of their favourites due to their domestic struggles this season.

Potter though has excited Chelsea fans with his ambitions to win the Champions League this season.

When asked what message he wanted to give to supporters during a club event this week, Potter said: ‘Well firstly it’s thank you because they’ve been incredibly fair, incredibly fair with us.

‘They’ve stuck with the team, the support we’ve had has been amazing.

‘And we’ll need them on Saturday. We’ll try and beat Everton, then we’ll take the draw, and then we’ll try and win the f***ing Champions League.’

Chelsea fans revelled in his comments on social media, saying it showed that Potter had ‘personality’ and that his confidence gave them belief they could win the Champions League.

One supporter in response to the video of his promise said: ‘He actually has a bit of personality, go on GAFFA!

@CFC_Janty wrote: ‘F*** it, if Graham Potter says we’re winning the UCL then we’re going to win the UCL. BRING ME ANY TEAM.’

ChelsTransfer also replied: ‘That’s more like a Chelsea manager.’

Potter has faced heavy criticism since he was appointed as manager in September, with the Blues’ struggles for form leaving them 10th in the Premier League standings.

Chelsea though have notched up three wins on the bounce after switching back to a 3-4-3 formation, giving fans some optimism going into the final months of the season.

The Blues will find out their potential route to the final today with the draw for both the quarter-finals and semi-finals taking place today from 11am.
